Behind the scenes

How we created Cotswold Denture Clinic in Poulton

The completed Cotswold Denture Clinic reception with its curved blue desk and comfortable seating

Before we could welcome patients through the doors of Cotswold Denture Clinic, there was a space to prepare, a reception to build and plenty of finishing to do. Here is a look at how our clinic in Poulton came together.

These photographs show the fit-out of our premises at Butts Farm Courtyard, near Cirencester. We were creating a clinic inside an existing building, giving the rooms a new purpose and making a place where patients could feel comfortable discussing their dentures.

A new purpose for a Cotswold building

The stone walls and distinctive blue doors give the building its character. Inside, the work was about turning the available rooms into a setting for personal denture care: somewhere to arrive, sit down and talk through what you need.

Our Poulton clinic launched in 2025. It marked the next step in Simon’s career, following years spent making dentures and caring for patients. You can read the background in Meet Simon Miles, including his training and career timeline.

From an unfinished room to a working reception

A look inside while the fit-out was still under way.

There is quite a difference between a room during a fit-out and the place patients eventually see. In this photograph, cupboards and worktops are taking shape, while tools and materials are still out and the finishing is yet to come.

Simon was involved in the practical work as well as planning the care that would happen here. One of the clearest examples is the curved reception desk.

The counter brings together the blue front and wooden top that you see in the finished reception. The photograph captures a hands-on part of the job: sanding the wood and preparing its surface.

It is a different kind of work from making dentures, but a nice part of the story behind the clinic. Patients now arrive at the same desk that Simon helped prepare.

More than the finished photographs

A finished clinic photograph shows the result. The photographs along the way tell the rest of the story: rooms being prepared, furniture taking shape and Simon getting involved before the first appointments.

We wanted to share those moments as well. If you have already visited us, you may recognise the room and the counter, even though they looked rather different while the work was going on.

The reception you see today

The finished room has comfortable upholstered seating, warm wood and blue details. More importantly, it is the starting point for a conversation about your care.

You do not need to arrive knowing which denture you want. Simon can discuss what you would like to improve, explain the different types of dentures and talk through the next steps in plain language. You can also look at our denture pricing page before coming in.

If you already wear dentures and something has changed, a Denture MOT is an opportunity to check their fit and condition. If your denture has broken, call us about a repair before travelling so we can confirm availability.
