Condition
Cracks, weak areas and damage to the denture.
Start with a check
Don’t put up with a denture that feels wrong. Tell us what has changed, and we’ll help you understand the next step.
A Denture MOT is a chance to have your existing dentures checked. It doesn’t mean you automatically need a new set.

Your seven-point denture check
Bring your dentures and tell Simon about any problems you’ve noticed.
Cracks, weak areas and damage to the denture.
How securely it sits and where it presses.
Changes to the teeth and support for your smile.
Dryness and other factors affecting comfort.
Areas that rub or hurt.
How your upper and lower teeth meet.
How the denture works as you move your jaw.
We’ll explain what we find and whether any work is worth considering.

After your check
Simon will talk you through the findings. A small adjustment may help; sometimes a reline, repair or replacement is worth discussing.
We’ll explain the options and any additional costs before you decide. Some minor work may be possible at the visit, depending on what is needed.
Keep seeing your dentist, even if you have no natural teeth. If Simon finds something that needs a dentist’s attention, he’ll explain what to do.
